THREAD OF CREATIVITY - Fashion Design Competition 2024

The 4th edition of the Thread of Creativity - Fashion Design Competition 2024 Grand Final, jointly organised by the Sham Shui Po District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee and the Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association, was successfully held at Airside in Kai Tak. The event specially adopted the theme "China Chic” to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The 12 finalists incorporated Chinese elements into trendy designs, using unlimited creativity and imagination to re-interpret traditional Chinese culture in a contemporary fashion style, creating a series of “New Chinese Style” garments.

 

The event was honored to have Ms. Mak Mei-kuen, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs; Mr. Leung Yuk-wai, Vice Chairman of the Youth Development Commission; Mr. Wong Yan-yin, Sham Shui Po District Officer; Mr. Yan Wai-kiu, Chairman of the Sham Shui Po District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee; Mr. Cheng Man-tak, Chairman of the Clothing Industry Training Authority; and Mr. Ho Kwok-ching, Founding Chairman of the Creative Design Association of Asia’s New Generation.

 

The event was jointly organised by the Sham Shui Po District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee and the Asian Youth Creative Design Association, co-organised by the Sham Shui Po District Office, and sponsored by the Home Affairs Department.
