The Pledging Ceremony for the Volunteer Program of the 15th National Games Hong Kong Region was held grandly, with over 16,000 volunteers officially stepping up to infuse passion into the National Games and the National Games for Persons with Disabilities & Special Olympics! The new Polo shirts, designed by winners of the “THREAD OF CREATIVITY - Fashion Design Competition 2024”, made their debut, showcasing the style and spirit of the National Games volunteers! National Games volunteers, the whole city is mobilized! Let’s cheer together for Hong Kong’s first time co-hosting the National Games!
This set of uniforms was collaboratively designed by renowned fashion designer and founding chairman of the Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association, Mr. Dorian Ho, leading the award-winning participants from the “THREAD OF CREATIVITY - Fashion Design Competition 2024”: Wong Yuet Yin, Lee Tsz Chung, Tam Shun Kiu, Lee Yi Man, and Chan Yat Nga, to launch the brand-new Polo shirts.
The design embodies the concept of “Uniting Hong Kong”, incorporating iconic Hong Kong architectural backgrounds with triangular fragmented patchwork elements, symbolizing the vibrant energy of volunteers and athletes coming together to ensure the smooth operation of the National Games. The uniforms adopt a Polo shirt style for a formal yet approachable look, featuring an open collar design for enhanced comfort and breathable, eco-friendly fabrics to keep volunteers comfortable throughout their duties. The color palette draws inspiration from the promotional design of the “Hong Kong Region Volunteer Program” for the National Games, using gradient effects to convey dynamic athletic vitality.
