The annual "Thread of Creativity" Fashion Design Competition, co-hosted by the Home Affairs Department and the New Generation Creativity Design Association (CDA-Asia), has garnered widespread acclaim from both the industry and the general public. In January 2024, Mr. Dorian Ho Kwok-ching—Creative Director of CDA HUB and Competition Advisor—led three alumni winners of the competition to craft a collection of new uniforms for the Home Affairs Department, blending comfort with sophisticated aesthetics. The selected designers are Ms. Moon Li Sze-yuet, Mr. Anson Choi Yiu-tung, and Mr. Anson Lam Yan-ho, all laureates of the competition’s inaugural edition.
The Home Affairs Department’s jacket design adopts green as its primary hue, embodying the enthusiasm, vitality, and dedication of the Home Affairs team in fostering a healthy and harmonious community. Meanwhile, the white trench coats tailored for district Home Affairs offices incorporate a "flowing pulse" design concept, symbolizing how the 18 district offices closely grasp the local context, stay abreast of the times, and deliver services that are precisely tailored to citizens’ needs.
