Opening Ceremony of the "Tunnel of Future Innovations" at City University of Hong Kong

The founder of this platform, Mr. Dorian Ho, made his debut appearance as Professor Ho to orchestrate a unique and innovative fashion show at the opening ceremony of City University of Hong Kong’s “Tunnel of Future Innovations”, which connects the university to Festival Walk.

 

This pioneering project will provide a platform for faculty and students from the School of Creative Media at CityU to showcase their creative works, enriching the campus’s visual and intellectual atmosphere, sparking interdisciplinary innovative thinking, and fostering closer connections between the university and the Sham Shui Po community. Therefore, this fashion show specially invited young designers from the “THREAD OF CREATIVITY - Fashion Design Competition 2024” to present their competition entries themed around “China Chic”.

 

The glass ceiling above the tunnel cleverly incorporates the CityU logo design, while the two LED screens flanking the campus entrance—extending a total length of 100 meters—play AI-generated videos set against the backdrop of Sham Shui Po, delivering an immersive digital interactive experience. Twenty-four models strutted through the tunnel as on-site guests admired the young designers’ works that blend Chinese culture with contemporary trends. The event also featured celebrities Brian Chu Man Hon, Celina Harto, and Denice Lam Yuk Wai serving as guest models, while the 2024 Miss Hong Kong champion and CityU alumna Ellyn Ngai Lok Lam attended in person to show support, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere.
